"Being the mother of a child on the autism spectrum is scary, adventurous, but a true blessing. My son was diagnosed with autism when he was two years and 9 months of age. Although he is very verbal he still deals with daily struggles. Some examples are his fine motor skills (but they are constantly improving), his focus, and sometimes when he gets upset he can’t verbalize his frustration (even though he is so verbal). Therapy has changed my son's life dramatically each and every day. I'm so thankful for the wonderful therapist that works with my son. Not only does his father and I see this change, but family members see this change as well. His barber even sees the change. Because of the various therapies, our son has a shot in life. No one ever could imagine that their child would be special needs… I sure didn't. That’s why Early Intervention and ABA and are so vital with autism.
